Not a day goes by that i dont think of you grandad. you were the rock of the family. i miss you and i am sure that the rest of the family miss you too. lots has happened since you have gone as mel previously wrote to you about. i have two gorgeous nephews and gaines a sister in law and also become a fiance myself. we are sad that you wasnt around to witness all these new arrivals but i know deep down that you were with us in spirit. i like to think that you are still here and when we visit you at cemetary that you know that we have been. hope you are ok where you are and that you are happy. you did your best to stay around and fought to the end but you couldnt go on as you was you was suffering bad. im glad that i got to go to south africe and i know how sad the day was that you passed away but am so glad that i had the chance to be there. i'll never forget there itll be a date that will stay in my mind forvever. love you and miss you always grandad, your grandaughter Lindsay xxxx

So much has happened since you have left us grandad its unbelievable. Im sure you will know about all your beautifull great grandchildren who have been born since you passed. Firstly is matilda may marshall who belongs to ricky and sam, then came dylon who is jennys little boy then in july of last year i gave birth to a baby boy called bailey and then beverley has also had a lovely little boy called riley.They will all be brought up to know exactly who you are and what a great man you were!As daft as it may seem many people comment on how some days my little boy has a resembelance to you grandad its uncanny but comforting as it feels there was a part of you that has come back within bailey. And also adrian and emma tied the knot in a secret wedding in mexico and lindsay and dave recently got engaged too so more wedding bells should be ringing in the near future! Well now i have brought you up to date with the goings on in the family i would just like to say not a day goes by that all of us dont think of you and we all remember all you did for each and every one of us. You are still as loved as you were when you were here and always will be and you will definately never be forgotten. You were such a brave man who fought to the end and although it was the worst day of my life i was still glad that i was with you to say goodbye. Grandad,all the hard work you have done hasnt gone unnoticed,u was the "Godfather" of the family and u kept us all together.Now you are no longer here it feels like a big piece of my life is missing.You worked hard ALL your life and raised so much 4 charity and 4 The Maurice Rawlings Community Centre.Now its our turn!!! Personally you have done so much 4 me and i want to repay that by donating as much as i can to your fund to help others.I love you Grandad,You are ALWAYS in our minds,FOREVER in our hearts xxx
